LEBANON, OH (FOX19) -

A former Warren County church youth group leader will have to register as a Tier I Sex Offender following a guilty conviction he received Friday.

Michael Myers, 49, was indicted in March on one misdemeanor count of sexual imposition. He was found guilty of the charge Friday.

Myers was the youth group leader at Pleasant Plain Presbyterian Church and met the 17-year-old victim through the church group. Prosecutors say that the incident occurred off of church property and was not connected to a church activity.

Myers was sentenced to 10 days in jail and serve two years probation. Myers was also ordered to pay $2,500 to the victim.

Tier I Sex Offenders are required to register once a year, and register every residence change for 15 years
