Walkers and runners participate in 11th annual Redlegs Run

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

On Saturday, more than 3,200 runners and walkers headed down to Great American Ball Park  to participate in the Redlegs Runs.

All participants received a race t-shirt. There will be a post-race party and awards ceremony on June 7, at 7:10 p.m.

Not only could runners and walkers take place in the 10k and 5k, families could take part in a one mile family walk/run.Children 10 and under could take place in the Gapper's Kids Fun Run.

The event shut down several Cincinnati streets, but they were re-opened before 12:00 p.m.

Brian Denny placed first in the male 5K and Becky Clark placed first among females in the 5K. Stephan Ragg was the winner of the 10K and Kerry Lee was took first among females in the 10K. The top male and female finishers are invited to throw out ceremonial pitches before Thursday's game when the Reds take on the Pirates.

The event generated more than $165,000 for the Reds Community Fund.
