Cornhole tournament benefits StarShine Hospice

MARIEMONT, OH (FOX19) -

A cornhole tournament was held for a good cause on Saturday afternoon.

Teams battled it out in the StarShine Charity Classic which benefits StarShine Hospice of Cincinnati Children's Hospital. The hospice program is for children and young adults whose life expectancy is six month or less. The purpose of the program is to help patients and parents make every moment meaningful and help meet their spiritual and emotional needs.

"It's a very caring organization and that's really our main purpose, the families and the children that are terminally ill," said Tony Jernigan, StarShine board member.

FOX19's Frank Marzullo participated in the event, which included a raffle, game challenges and appetizers.
