OSU suspends two players
Ohio State tight end Jake Stoneburner and offensive lineman Jack Mewhort have been suspended indefinitely from the team after being arrested Saturday night.
The two were arrested in Shawnee Hills, Ohio, a Columbus suburb, for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor charge.
Police saw the two players, and a third man not on the team, early Saturday urinating outside a restaurant near Stoneburner's house. The three men ran away when they saw a spotlight, unknowing it belonged to police.
Mewhort and Stoneburner stopped about 40 yards away from the restaurant and did not attempt to hide.
Stoneburner and Mewhort are expected to be the start this season for the Buckeyes. Stoneburner, a tight end, caught 14 passes a year ago with seven of them going for touchdowns. Mewhort will start at left tackle.
