Kilgour School launches educational ‘app’

MT. LOOKOUT, OH (FOX19) -

Kilgour Elementary will launch a unique smart phone application with both educational and funding opportunities on Tuesday.

The ‘app,' called Kilgour Lemon Smash, is a game featuring a virtual lemonade stand, designed to teach students about financial literacy.

The app will ultimately raise funds for Kilgour Elementary, and comes out of a financial literacy and technology project involving first through sixth graders at the school.

Kilgour Elementary worked with Sprint, Northern Kentucky University Center for Applied Informatics and the University of Cincinnati's Center for Economics to develop the game.
