Idina Menzel to sing at World Choir Games closing ceremony

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati, a sponsor of the World Choir Games set to take place in Cincinnati this July, announced Tuesday that Idina Menzel will sing at the games' closing ceremony.

The ceremony is set to take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 14 at U.S. Bank Arena, where Menzel will perform with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and the May Festival Chorus.

Idina Menzel, a Tony Award winner best known for her roles as Elphaba in Wicked and Maureen in Rent, previously performed with the Pops Orchestra in September 2010 and June 2011.

Horseshoe Cincinnati will also host Human Nature, an Australian vocal group at the World Choir Games' "Pop the Night Away" concert held at 7:30 p.m. at the Aronoff Center for the Arts.
