Cop punched in the face, Reds fan charged

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A baseball fan is jailed after police say he punched an officer in the face.

Officers say they removed James Bockrath, 51, from Tuesday night's Reds game for a liquor violation.

The arresting officer says Bockrath was so upset that he punched him square in his left eye.

Bockrath was taken to jail where he was charged with resisting arrest and assault on an officer.

He bonded out on Wednesday.
