EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Film and television actresses Christina Moore and Missi Pyle, will perform in New Harmony Theatre's 2012 season opening production of the comedy God of Carnage.

Moore is no stranger to Indiana. In the early ‘90s, Moore was a part of University of Southern Indiana's production of Young Abe Lincoln and Big River at the Lincoln Amphitheatre.

God of Carnage, a Tony award-winning play by French playwright Yasmina Reza, finds two couples trying to have a civil discussion about a playground fight involving their young sons. The discussion falls into a chaotic tantrum propelling all four to the furthest and darkest corners of their perfectly proper relationships.

The actors will join Elliot Wasserman, producing artistic director, in God of Carnage for their own reunion at New Harmony Theatre during the 2525th anniversary season. Moore says, "I couldn't be more excited to be making my way back to Indiana. Working with Elliot Wasserman was a dream experience in 1993. I am hoping to repeat the magic!"

God of Carnage runs June 15-17 and June 22-24.

Season tickets may be purchased at any time through the first show. All evening performances start at 7:30 p.m. and matinees begin at 2 p.m.

Individual adult tickets are $22 for God of Carnage.  Discounted tickets are available for students and seniors.

Plays are performed in the historic Murphy Auditorium located at 419 Tavern Street in New Harmony. For more information, or to make a purchase, visit www.newharmonytheatre.com or call the box office at 812/465-1635 or 877/NHT-SHOW.
