FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) - A Fairfield Army soldier will be laid to rest on Monday.
People gathered to honor Cpl. Nicholas Olivas during the visitation on Sunday at the Fairfield Senior High School arena.
Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fairfield at 10 a.m. Immediately following will be the burial with full military honors at St. Mary's Cemetery in Hamilton.

Thousands came to honor Cpl. Olivas on Friday as his body arrived at the Butler County Airport then proceeded to the funeral home.
Olivas died May 30 in Zharay, Afghanistan, when his unit was attacked with an IED, or improvised explosive device.
Olivas, a 2010 graduate from Fairfield High School, leaves behind a wife, Faith, and a two-month old son, Connor.
