GEORGETOWN, OH (FOX19) - Two men have been arrested after police say they assaulted firefighters who were battling a fire.
The Brown County Sheriff's Office says the incident started when the Hamersville Fire Department was dispatched to a tractor fire on J. Bolender Road just after 11 p.m. May 31.
Firefighters arrived on scene and found two subjects trying to put out the fire with a garden hose. The firefighters proceeded to extinguish the tractor fire with their equipment, which angered the subjects, so they began to physically assault multiple fire department personnel.
The firefighters held the subjects down until police arrived.
Police arrested Timothy M. Gray, 22, and Nathan Gray, 27, both of Felicity. They are charged with six counts of assault, one count of disrupting public service, one count of obstructing official business and one count of misconduct at an emergency.
The suspects were arraigned in Brown County Municipal Court. Nathan Gray was released on June 1 after posting a $10,000 bond. Timothy Gray remains incarcerated on a $50,000 bond.
