CRESCENT SPRINGS, KY (FOX19) - Interstate 71/75 is reopen Friday morning after a syrup spill near the Buttermilk Pike exit.
The accident happened on the northbound side of the highway involving a car and a semi-truck carrying thousands of gallons of Hungry Jack Maple Syrup. The truck tipped thousands of boxes and bottles of syrup onto the southbound side as a result of the crash.
The accident happened around 7:45 p.m., Thursday closing all the northbound lanes at one point. All lanes were open in time for morning rush hour on Friday morning.
According to dispatchers, two people have been taken to St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospital. There is no word on their condition.
