Crews investigate Lindenwald arson fires

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

The Hamilton Fire Department is investigating a string of malicious fires that were set in the Lindenwald area.

Three fires were set within a half hour.

The first fire reported was at 3009 Griesmer Avenue. Some rubbish was set on fire between two garages.  The rubbish fire spread to two garages, catching them ablaze and damaging the structure as well as contents.

The second fire was set at 340 Fairview again to rubbish set out for trash collection, It was in close proximity to a privacy fence that was ignited and was destroyed.  The third fire was at the corner of Freeman and Williams Avenue.  Again it was rubbish set out for collection and again was next to a garage.  A passerby found the fire and moved the rubbish away from the garage saving it from any damage.

Crews are investigating these three fires in addition to on that was set the night of June 6 on Garfield Avenue.
