Cincinnati, OH (FOX19) - After a historic start to the season, Aroldis Chapman coughed up a loss for the second time in consecutive outings.
The Reds closer didn't allow an earned run his first 24 appearances this season (a team record), but has given up three his last two innings.
The Tigers tagged Chapman for two hits, a walk, a hit by pitch and two earned runs in the 8th inning of Sunday night's 7-6 Reds loss at Great American Ball Park.
Zack Cozart, Devin Mesoraco and Todd Frazier all hit home runs for the Reds. Frazier drove in a team high 4 runs.
The Reds fall back to a first place tie with the Pittsburgh Pirates before starting a three-game series with Cleveland Tuesday at GABP.
