Police have located a Miami Township woman who went missing on Sunday evening.
Claudia Gordon, 43, went missing just after 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. That evening, Gordon talked to her mother on the phone from Clermont Mercy Hospital. She said she had a headache and was checking herself into the hospital. Records show Gordon registered at the emergency room but left before being seen by medical personnel.
Gordon was found safe Tuesday morning at around 2 a.m. by Cincinnati Police.
Miami Township Police began receiving calls after the story was released to local media. The callers all relayed similar information to police that Gordon was sighted in different Cincinnati area businesses still wearing her hospital bracelet and behaving suspiciously.
"We received a call about one-thirty this morning from the Cincinnati Police Division advising us that they had Ms. Gordon in their custody and were taking her to the hospital for evaluation," said Miami Township Police Sergeant Al Fatute. "We're grateful for the assistance of the local media in getting the information out so quickly and for the citizens who called with information. It was this collaborative effort that resolved the case quickly and with the best possible outcome."
