BOONE COUNTY, KY (FOX19) - An accident involving four vehicles claimed the life of a Crittenden woman on Tuesday night.
The collision occurred around 7 p.m. on southbound I-75 at the 171 mile marker in Boone County. Authorities say all four vehicles were in the center lane when traffic slowed due to roadwork in the area.
Harlan Jones, 57, of Dry Ridge, didn't slow down quickly enough and his Toyota 4-Runner struck a Toyota Camry driven by Sarah Schoenman, 30, of Crittenden. The force of the impact caused the Schoenman's vehicle to collide with a Ford Taurus driven by Kimberly Summers, 42, of Indianapolis. Summers' vehicle was then forced into a Stratus driven by Timothy Cranert, 47, of Corinth.
Schoenman died at the scene from her injuries.
The Boone County Sheriff's Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the collision.
