SPRING GROVE VILLAGE, OH (FOX19) - A one-alarm fire ignited in an apartment in Spring Grove Village on Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities say the fire was on the second floor of the apartment building in the 5300 block of Bettman Drive just before 2 p.m. Crews began an aggressive interior attack and had the fire out within about 10 minutes.
All residents were able to get out of the building safely, thanks to a working smoke detector. Three children and one adult were displaced and are being helped by the Red Cross.
The fire caused about $8,000 worth of damage. The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
