CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Two projected starters for the Ohio State football team have been stripped of their scholarships by head coach Urban Meyer.
According to the Columbus Dispatch, tight end Jake Stoneburner and offensive lineman Jake Mewhort will attend school and workout separate from the team this summer after pleading guilty to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct.
The players were arrested earlier this month after urinating in public and then running from police.
"They will continue to be suspended from team activities until stipulations are successfully met," Meyer said in a statement. "They will have an opportunity to return to the team in good standing following the summer session."
