Authorities were called to a home for a report of a deceased person on a deck in Elmwood Place on Sunday morning.
"The body had been laying there quite a bit before 911 was even called," said Lucinda West, who claimed to know the victim.
The Elmwood Place Police were dispatched to the home in the 5900 block of Elmwood Avenue around 7 a.m.
Police say they found a woman dead on the side deck of the home. She is described as a white woman around 45 years old. The woman's name is not being released until family members have been notified.
"She had friends everywhere but this is where her boyfriend lived," said West.
Neighbors tell FOX19 that the woman and her boyfriend had been drinking at a nearby bar Saturday night and at least one neighbor noticed when they came home.
"I saw the girl and the guy get out of the car and then all of a sudden the girl fell to the ground," said Shyanne Gregory. "Then the guy came over and he seemed like he didn't even care about her."
The body was taken to the Hamilton county Coroner's Office for an autopsy. A "person of interest" has been questioned by police but no further interviewing will be done until the coroner's report is released.
The case is being investigated by the Hamilton County Prosecutors Office and the Cincinnati Police Criminal Investigation Section.
