GE gives four Cincinnati Public schools a makeover

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - GE volunteers gave four Cincinnati Public Schools a makeover on Monday by giving them a $9,000 grant.

More than 300 people landscaped and mulched at the schools that will either host competitions for the World Choir Games or will be along the route taken by the more than 200,000 international visitors.

The schools include the School of Creative and Performing Arts, Hays Porter Elementary, South Avondale Elementary and Rockdale Academy.

In 2011, GE volunteers donated more than 48,000 hours to local non-profits.

The World Choir games run from July 4 to July 14.
