Metro names rail manager for streetcar project

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Metro has named the rail manager for the Cincinnati Streetcar project.

Paul Grether will be  responsible for streetcar operations, vehicle maintenance, training, street supervision, and other functions delineated in an operating agreement between the City of Cincinnati and Metro, which is being developed at this time.

Grether worked for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), where he served as Manager of Streetcar Development. For the Atlanta Streetcar Project – a 2.7 mile modern streetcar now under construction – he was involved in stakeholder coordination between the City of Atlanta and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District.

He also managed the National Environmental Policy Act process, developed the successful grant application, and implemented the stakeholder decision-making process.

He currently resides in Over-the-Rhine.
