CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Rumpke is teaming up with the Cincinnati Fire Department are teaching high school freshman about the use of math in fire safety.
Incoming freshman from Milford, Deer Park and Mt. Healthy are learning how math equations play a crucial role in fighting fires. The Fire Logistics and Math Education or FLAME program was held at UC's McMicken Hall on Tuesday. The program uses real life situations from fire scenes to reinforce math lessons.
Students are able to earn some of their first high school science credits during the four-week program.
