A sex offender is back behind bars after being tracked down by Milford Police and U.S. Marshals.
William Todd Schleehauf, 49, is now incarcerated in the Clark County Jail awaiting extradition to Clermont County on charges of Rape, Kidnapping, Burglary, Domestic Violence, Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, & Parole Violation.
A seven week investigation was conducted to bring Schleehauf to justice.
Milford investigators developed leads that Schleehauf may be in the Springfield, Ohio area and requested assistance from the U.S. Marshals. SOFAST sent a team of agents to Springfield that apprehended Schleehauf on Thursday, the first day of the operation.
Investigators from the Ohio Adult Parole Authority and the Attorney General's new Crimes Against Children Unit assisted in the capture.
