(FOX19) - Millions of dollars in grants remain available to victims of the March tornadoes according to the Federal Home Loan Bank.
According to their website, households interested in applying for a Disaster Reconstruction Program (DRP) grant may not apply directly to the FHLBank. Instead they should contact their Local Long Term Recovery Group, Committee or Organization (LTRG) or a non-profit Sponsor Organization, or 'Sponsor'.
The LTRG will have a case manager that can coordinate all of the household's benefits, including DRP grants.
In counties or areas where a Long Term Recovery Group is not available, the household should contact an FHLBank approved Sponsor.
Tornado victims can also contact Jill A. Cravens, Voluntary Programs Manager, toll free at (888)345-2246.
Byczkowski says applications continue to come in, and nearly $4 million remain available to qualified applicants.
Additional information can be found on the bank's website.
