Monday morning mayhem

Hello!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend enjoying the sunshine! Thankfully the humidity backed off but it was definitely HOT!

If you were crossing your fingers for a little bit of a cool down, Katy Morgan is here to make you smile! She's telling us that outside a stray shower or two early this morning, we can expect a much cooler and dryer afternoon with highs in the low 80s!

For your play-by-play weather updates and a complete seven-day forecast, check out Katy all morning long from 4-10 AM.

Police are currently investigating a shooting in Lower Price Hill that left one person dead and two others injured. Officials say that one victim was found dead inside of a car near Storrs and Neave Streets around 10:30 last night and the other two were found down the street with non-life threatening injuries. Rob Williams and Tracey Johnson will have the very latest on the story at 5 AM.

A heartbreaking story last week of a 15-year-old shot and killed in OTR brought community members together to walk in her honor. About 100 people participated in last night's "March for Hope" in memory of Africa Hope who died one week ago after being hit by a stray bullet on Vine Street. You can hear more on this story and the arrest that was made in connection with Hope's murder at 6 AM.

A major milestone is happening today in the construction of the new Mercy Health-West Hospital.  The $180 million project is being topped-off and Brad Underwood will be out live this morning with more on the new development.

Folks in Northwestern Ohio got to witness a couple of parachuting granny's this weekend who made the jump for a great cause! Marjorie Bryan, 83, and Marianna Sherman, 82, parachuted Saturday at the Allen County Airport in Lima to raise some cash for a veterans' food pantry. Bryan told reporters that she loved it so much, she'd be up for going again!

I know last week I told you that your time was running out to purchase a ticket for the St. Jude Dream Home, but now you REALLY need to get a move on if you haven't already gotten one! This is the last week to purchase your ticket before we give away this beautiful home in Maineville on Friday! Call 1-800-537-1735 or click here!

I think I'm done bugging you for the day-as always, you can hear these stories and much more on the FOX19 Morning News followed by the Morning Xtra at 9!
