Daycare worker accused of leaving baby in hot car

A Woodlawn mother and daycare employee is charged with child endangerment.

Police say Acquilla Cantlope, 29, left her 10-month-old in a hot car outside Kroger Sunday evening.

When medics arrived, the baby was unresponsive.

The child was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital for treatment. The child is okay.

Cantlope has been employed at the Youthland Academy's Blue Ash location since 2005.

Youthland Human Resources spokesperson Kirsten Tenbrink says Cantlope has been placed on unpaid leave until the investigation is complete.

Cantlope was charged with child endangerment then released on her own recognizance.
