The Public Library of Cincinnati wins a national innovation award
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County won an award this month for its Virtual Information Center.
The library won a national innovation award for their the new virtual information department, which was designed to meet the needs of customers who are outside of the physical building.
The Urban Libraries Council announced the winners of the 2012 Top Innovators awards on June 22. The council is made up of the country's leading public library systems. The Innovations Initiative was launched in 2010 to showcase creative programs that show the important role public libraries play in the community.
