CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Board of Education voted on Monday to place a renewal levy on the November ballot.
The levy will not increase taxes and will generate more than $51 million for the school district. Approval of the levy would reinstate the 8.55 mill levy for a five year period.
"We have managed to progress academically despite eliminating more than 1,000 positions over the last decade," said Superintendent Mary Ronan. "But there is a limit to our ability to absorb further reductions." The vote on Monday night was unanimous.
