Madeira City Council votes against building apartment complex

MADEIRA, OH (FOX19) - Madeira City Council members voted against building an apartment complex in the community at a meeting on Monday night.

The motion to change the zoning which would allow the apartments to be built failed, which is what hundreds of residents were hoping would happen. More than 700 residents, tax payers and voters reached out to Madeira City Council to discuss their disagreement over the proposal to build a high density apartment complex in the heart of the community. On the other hand, some people said it would have been a great use of space.
