NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - A former Highlands High School business teacher pleaded guilty on Tuesday to one count of sexual abuse.
Andrea Conners is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student between Oct. 1 and Nov. 30 of 2011.
Conners resigned one week after rumors began to circulate at the school that a faculty member and a student were having a sexual relationship.
She's scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 8. She faces one to five years in prison.
