The Christ Hospital will hold a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of a $265 million expansion on Thursday June 28 at 9 a.m.
The project to expand the hospital's Mt. Auburn campus will be the largest in the hospital's recent history.
The centerpiece of the expansion is The Christ Hospital Orthopaedic and Spine Center, a facility unique to the region and dedicated to comprehensive, evidence-based orthopaedic and spine care, education and clinical outcomes research.
Upon completion in 2015, the Center will include 60 private inpatient rooms, space for 12 operating rooms and a wide range of services needed to diagnose and treat orthopaedic and spine conditions.
The hospital's expansion also includes a new visitor garage and a materials management building.
