Jeff Ruby restaurant closes in downtown Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A Jeff Ruby owned restaurant in downtown Cincinnati has closed its doors.

The Walnut Street Grill at 631 Walnut Street closed for good over the weekend. The restaurant posted the following message on its Facebook page:

Dear Friends,

This evening, we closed our doors for good. We can't thank you enough for your kindness and loyal support over this past year. We appreciate the chance to have served you and this incredible community.

If you have a Walnut Street Grill gift card or certificate purchased through, please know that they will be honored at any of Jeff Ruby's restaurants (visit for a complete listing).

Looking at the exciting opportunities that lie ahead, we're pleased that almost all of the talented management, kitchen and service staff will be relocated to other JRCE restaurants including new steakhouse concepts in the planning stages in Lexington, KY and elsewhere.

Again, thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Ruby owns several other restaurants across the region, including the Precinct, the Waterfront and Carlo and Johnny. The Walnut Street Grill was known for its American-style comfort food.
