OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) - Three people, including a Cincinnati Police Officer, were injured after a crash Monday afternoon in Over the Rhine.
The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Dunlap Street and involved a cruiser and another vehicle.
Police say someone had removed the stop sign at the intersection of Dunlap Street and Henry Street. Authorities say Alice Wathen, 19, was traveling eastbound on Henry St. when she failed to stop to oncoming traffic and was struck by Cincinnati Police Specialist John Homan, who was traveling southbound on Dunlap Street. Wathen's vehicle overturned and struck Lasana Devaughn, 32, while she was walking on Dunlap Street.
Wathen was extricated from her vehicle by Cincinnati Fire Department personnel and taken to University Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Police Specialist Homan was removed from his vehicle by fire department personnel and taken to University Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. It is undetermined whether or not he was wearing a seatbelt at the time.
Devaughn was taken to University Hospital with minor injuries.
