Reds Prospect Steals 100th Base

Reds prospect Billy Hamilton stole his 100th base Monday night.

Playing for the Bakersfield Blaze, the Reds' High Class A organization, Hamilton accomplished the rare feat even before the All Star break.

The current major league leader, Dee Gordon, has 28 stolen bases this season. The minor league record for a season is 145, held by Vince Coleman.

Hamilton, a shortstop, also topped 100 stolen bases last season. He will play in the Futures Game next week before the major league All Star game.
