Erlanger murder suspect captured in S.C., back in Kenton Co. jail

ERLANGER, KY (FOX19) - A man wanted for a murder in Erlanger has been arrested in South Carolina and brought back to the Kenton County Jail.

Timothy Grissett, 50, who was wanted for the murder of Tasha Nichole Campbell, 26, was taken into custody without incident Wednesday afternoon in Newberry County. Campbell's body was found Monday night at a home on Hulbert Street in Erlanger.

The Newberry County Sheriff's Office located the blue Honda Accord that Grissett was believed to be driving on Tuesday. They learned the car was stolen and was associated with a murder suspect, so the car was taken to the Sheriff's Office for processing.

On Wednesday afternoon, officers in Newberry County received a call from police in Kentucky that Grissett wanted to turn himself in. The Newberry County Sheriff's Office responded to the location and took Grissett into custody without incident.

Grissett was booked into the Kenton County Jail at 11:15 Thursday night.
