The Operations Director at Cincinnati Memorial Hall has died following an attempted murder-suicide in Over the Rhine.
According to police, Raymond Henry, 45, shot a friend, Marianna Potee, 43, and then turned the gun on himself Friday afternoon in Over the Rhine.
Police confirmed on Monday that Henry died on Friday. Potee remains in the hospital.
Cincinnati Police responded to the scene on 14th Street just after 1 p.m. Friday and found the pair in a car suffering from gunshot wounds.
Marge Hammelrath, the President of the Cincinnati Memorial Hall Society who worked with Henry, was shocked to hear the news.
Hammelrath said as the Operations Director, Henry basically had a hand in everything at Memorial Hall.
She revealed to FOX19 that she even called him Friday morning and invited him to the ribbon cutting ceremony of Washington Park just a few hours before the shooting occurred.
Both Henry and Potee were taken to University Hospital.
Funeral arrangements for Henry have not been announced.
