If you can't get the cash, go for chips instead

Parker was ready to go for the 4th! Parker was ready to go for the 4th!

The Sunday to Monday transition is always the toughest, but at least I can start off your work week with some good news! (Well...Katy Morgan is the REAL bearer of good news...I'm just the messenger!)

The heat wave is FINALLY starting to take a back seat this morning as a cold front pushes through and highs topping off in the mid 80s. We might have to dodge a few showers and thunderstorms this morning but those should clear this afternoon, leaving us with partly to mostly sunny skies.

For all of your weather needs, be sure to check out Katy and Frank all morning long on FOX19!

ATTENTION LAWRENCEBURG RESIDENTS: The Valley Rural Utility Company in Hidden Valley Lake has announced a boil advisory for all residents along with a ban on using water outside due to a water main break that drained the water tower. Rob Williams and Sheila Gray will have more on this story and when the ban is expected to be lifted.

An overnight drive-by sent one woman to the hospital after she was shot in the face from inside her home. Thankfully, she is said to be in good condition. Dan Wells will be live in Winton Terrace with the details starting at 4:30.

Our hearts go out to the family of a Cincinnati teen who drown while on a family rafting trip in Franklin County, IN. 15-year-old Shontel Wagoner-Dugar went missing in a rural area of Whitewater River Sunday afternoon. Her body was recovered a few hours later.

If you can't break into a register, why not steal some potato chips instead? That's exactly what one man did at a Subway in Pittsburgh but his unsuccessful robbery attempt had police following a potato chip trail that led right to his arrest. Needless to say, he is sitting in jail on a $30,000 bond.

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty excited to watch a few of our Reds rock it out in this year's MLB All-Star game! Votto, Chapman and Bruce all made the NL team and I'm sure they'll make Cincinnati proud! Be sure to tune-in at 9 AM during our Morning Xtra  for a live talk-back with Joe Buck and Tim McCarver for a preview of the game in Kansas City, MO! You can watch the game tomorrow night right here on FOX19. First pitch is at 7:30.
