CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Queen City Sausage Company along with festival food vendors Mick and Pat Noll and Jack Schulte & friends will be grilling 2,000 Bierwurst sausages on Ft. Square, Monday, July 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The grill out is to announce the upcoming Queen City Sausage Festival, July 13, 14, and 15 at Newport's Riverfront Levee.
The Fountain Square grill-out is free to the public.
The new Bierwurst is made with local Hudepohl Amber Lager beer, served on Klosterman buns and will be free to the first 2,000 visitors on the Square. The Bierwurst will also be available at the Queen City Sausage Festival for the first time at Mick Noll's Covington Haus booth.
The Queen City Sausage Festival will offer over 27 delicious ways Queen City sausages can be enjoyed in most any recipe. Each festival food vendor will offer their very own specialty dishes using Queen City sausages including Super Brats, Munich Hot Metts, Bierwurst, Smoked Mettwurst Calzone, Cincinnati-Style Big Dog (Loaded), Gyro Metts on Pita Bread, Smoked Endless Kielbasa and much more.
Queen City Sausage Co. produces brats, metts, Italian, Andouille, Chorizo, goetta and more. Other festival fare includes roasted corn, potato pancakes, pizza and strudel. A special retail Queen City Sausage Shop will be on site offering the most popular sausages produced by the company.
Admission is free and also includes live entertainment on two stages.
