CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Cincinnati Museum Center's newest exhibit opens Friday.

Dead Sea Scrolls: Life and Faith in Ancient Times takes a look at what has been called the most significant archaeological find in the last century.

In 1947, a shepherd stumbled upon a hidden cave along the shore of the Dead Sea. Concealed inside were ancient scrolls that had not been seen for 2,000 years. After extensive excavation, a total of 972 remarkably preserved scrolls were found, including the earliest Biblical texts ever discovered.

Dead Sea Scrolls: Life and Faith in Ancient Times features the most comprehensive collection of ancient artifacts from Israel ever organized, including one of the largest collections of the priceless 2,000-year-old Dead Sea Scrolls.

Ticket prices are $15 for Museum Center Member adults, $10 for member children, $23 for non-member adults, $15 for non-member children and $20 for seniors 60 and over.
