Cincinnati Board of Education votes to sell former school buildings

The Cincinnati Board of Education voted unanimously on Monday night to offer 10 former school buildings to charter school operators within the district.

The buildings will be offered to charter schools including Bloom, Heberle, Linwood, Losantiville, Old Sands, the Millvale Land Parcel, Central Fairmount, Kirby Road, North Fairmount and Old Shroder. If no charter school operator is interested and offers fair value for the property, there will be an auction of the property.

A private sale may be arranged if no acceptable price is offered through the auction process.
