NL shuts out AL in All Star Game

The Reds All Stars went hitless in Kansas City, but the National League blanked the American League to secure home field advantage in the World Series.

Starting at first base, Joey Votto struck out and grounded out twice his three times up. Jay Bruce flew out to centerfield and grounded out to second base.

Aroldis Chapman entered the game in the 8th inning with his team up 8-0. Chapman walked the first batter he faced and then struck out Anaheim's Mark Trumbo to end the inning.

The Reds start the second half of the season Friday at GABP.
