Suspect leads police on chase, crashes into a home

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - A suspect led police on a chase and crashed into a house in Hamilton on Wednesday.

Adam Moody, 44, was stopped by a Hamilton Police Officer around 4:30 p.m. for operating the vehicle in a reckless manner. The officer was out of his cruiser and talking to the suspect when Moody fled the scene. The officer lost sight of the suspect and put out a description of the suspect's vehicle to other officers.

A Butler County Sheriff's Deputy heard the broadcast, saw the vehicle and attempted to stop Moody. Moody refused to stop and fled at a high speed on Millikin Street.  He lost control of the vehicle when going around a curve and struck the porch foundation of a home causing him to go airborne and flip. Moody came to a rest on top of a pickup truck parked in the driveway of a house next door.

Moody was taken to Ft. Hamilton Hospital then was transferred to another hospital for treatment. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

The incident remains under investigation.
