(FOX19) -

One of Butler County's "Most Wanted" is now behind bars some 1,000 miles away.

Adam Robert Lane, 26, was wanted for a Capias-Probation Violation dealing with a Ross Township felony burglary case back in 2005.

An arrest warrant was first issued for Lane in January of 2011. Sheriff's Office Fugitive Investigators had since been trying to locate him.

While Lane's last known address was in Fairfield, Ohio, investigators received a tip that he was actually living in Watertown, South Dakota.

Watertown law enforcement located his residence and arrested him Friday morning.

"Once again we have shown that you might run, but just can't hide very long, from the Butler County Sheriff's Office," conveyed Butler County Sheriff, Richard Jones.  "Congratulations to the Investigators for another job well done for tracking him down in South Dakota, and thanks to those local authorities who arrested him for us."

Lane is currently sitting in the Codington County Jail in South Dakota. He is awaiting extradition back to Butler County.
