Police ID man pulled from Banklick Creek

FORT WRIGHT, KY (FOX19) - Fort Wright Police have identified a man who was pulled from Banklick Creek on July 15.

Investigators say he is Paul Sloan, 61, who is homeless. Fort Wright Police Chief Daniel Kreinest said authorities used a black panther tattoo and dental records to confirm Slone's the identity.

A member of a painting crew working on the I-275 bridge found the body around 4 p.m. and called the police. The victim was pulled from the creek by Boone Water Rescue and the Fort Wright Fire Department.

The victim had no identification on him when he was found.

The cause of death is undetermined and there is not obvious sign of homicide.
