WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Aircare was called to take a victim to the hospital after a crash in Whitewater Township on Monday.

Authorities say Dennis Alsip, 19, was driving a Ford Explorer southbound on State Route 128 near Morgan Road when he went through the intersection and lost control of the vehicle just after 8 a.m. His vehicle traveled left of center, crossed over the double yellow lines and struck a Chevrolet Cobalt head-on.

The driver of the Cobalt, Lisa Hasting, 22, was flown to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Hasting is listed in critical condition. Alsip was taken to the hospital by the Miami Township Fire Department and is listed in stable condition.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts during the collision. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. The collision remains under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit.
