Man arrested after armed robbery in Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - A Middletown man has been arrested for an armed robbery.

Police responded to the 100 block of Grimes Street at around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday night.

When officers arrived, the suspect ran off, throwing a loaded handgun during the foot pursuit.

Police caught the suspect and identified him as Chad Wright, 30, of Middletown. He was booked in the Middletown Jail on charges of aggravated robbery, obstructing justice, carrying a concealed weapon, tampering with evidence and having weapons under disability.

Police say Wright pointed the loaded handgun at a victim, and also stole cash.
