2 hurt in crash involving car, motorcycle

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Two people were taken to the hospital Tuesday night after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle.

The crash occurred at around 9:10 p.m. on Dayton Oxford Road near Heritage Road.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Donnie Miller, 42, of Franklin, was operating a 1997 Toyota Camry traveling westbound Dayton Oxford Road.  Miller lost control, traveled left of center, and struck a motorcycle that was traveling eastbound on Dayton Oxford Road.  Miller's vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.

Both occupants of the motorcycle were ejected.  The driver of the motorcycle, Walter Woodward Jr., 44, of Middletown, was transported to the Atrium Medical Center by ambulance.  His passenger, Amy Woodward, 38, of Middletown, was transported by Care-Flight to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries. Miller did not suffer any injuries.

Alcohol and or drugs appear to be contributing factors to the crash.  The traffic crash remains under investigation.  Charges are pending.
