CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The weekend edition of the FOX19 Morning News made its debut on Saturday!

Starting Aug. 18, FOX19 will be carrying live, local news from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Our news broadcast will be anchored by Dan Wells and Jessica Brown. You know Dan from his last four years as a reporter on FOX19, two of them on the morning news.

"We've always known that Dan has the chops to host a morning show and now we have a place on the weekend to showcase his talent." Said FOX19 News Director Matt Miller. "When we brought Jessica in to test with Dan, there was an instant spark.  This is going to be a fun show to watch and to produce."

Jessica will be a new face in the Cincinnati market. She's been working as a reporter and anchor in Joplin, MO for the last two years.

You can look forward to getting your weekend forecast from a meteorologist you can trust. Katy Morgan will be spearheading our weekend morning weather.

"Katy is a rising star and someone we think can really hold her own and help us launch the Weekend Morning News," said FOX19 News Director Matt Miller.

"Our commitment to covering local news and weather is what drove this decision," said FOX19 General Manager Bill Lanesey. "When our viewers speak, we listen and they've been telling us they want our brand of a fun, personality driven morning news on the weekends."

With the addition of the weekend morning news, FOX19 will be broadcasting 46 hours of local news and weather, more than any single television station in Cincinnati.
