GROVE CITY, OH (FOX19) -
A Reds pitcher is ordered to pay a fine and court costs after a speeding incident back in March.
Officers say they clocked Aroldis Chapman driving at 93 miles per hour on northbound I-71.
Officers say Chapman was headed to the Columbus airport to pick up his girlfriend.
Police then discovered Chapman was driving under a suspended driver's license.
Officers told FOX19 that Chapman's license had only been suspended for about a week and it is possible that he wasn't aware of the suspension.
Chapman was arrested and taken to the Grove City Police Department where he was cited for speeding and driving under suspension. He bonded out and was released.
His lawyer appeared in court for him on Wednesday morning.
The judge dismissed the charge of driving without a license and reduced his speeding charge to 83 miles per hour in a 65 zone.
He was ordered to pay $150 in fines and $89 in court costs.
When this story broke, FOX19 exclusively obtained his Kentucky, Florida and Arizona driving records and found he received six tickets within 21 months.
