A day after surgery on his left knee, Reds first baseman Joey Votto said he's satisfied with how his injury was handled.
Votto played more than two weeks with the injury before an MRI revealed the extent of the damage.
"I thought it was handled perfectly," Votto said Wednesday. "Nobody is at fault here."
Votto said because of the stress of the game and the pressure he puts on himself he actually welcomes the time off.
He's expected to be out 3 to 4 weeks.
