Police locate 2 abducted toddlers inside van

EAST PRICE HILL, OH (FOX19) -

Police have located two children who were inside a van that was taken Thursday night.

According to authorities, a 2002 Buick Rendezvous was taken at around 8 p.m. from a gas station on Glenway Avenue with both a 1-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl in the vehicle.

The children were found safe at about 9:30 p.m. at the corner of Osage Avenue and Mansion Avenue.

The 14-year-old suspect was taken into custody for questioning, but has been released to his mother and not been charged.

An employee of a BP station nearby told FOX19 that a woman came crying after the abduction and borrowed a phone to call 911.

Investigators believe the mother of the children and the suspect have some sort of relationship and that the suspect frequently watches and takes care of the children.

The investigation continues and police say that charges could be filed against the mother and/or the 14-year-old.
